Summer School 6

Summer School 6 on ‘’LC-MS-Q-TOF mass spectrometry for the analysis of the masked mycotoxins in food and feed’’ was held at the University of Valencia (Spain) between 9 and 15 July 2023. Five young researchers selected from various institutions in Turkey, as well as participants from TUBITAK attended this summer school.

The summer school focused on transferring knowledge to young researchers on LC-MS-Q-TOF techniques and also new emerging techniques for masked mycotoxin analyses. Participants learned more about extraction methods of mycotoxins from the wheat and corn products, LC-MS-Q-TOF working principal, and data analysis. With this training, the participants had the opportunity to develop their competencies in masked mycotoxin analyses by LC-MS-Q-TOF techniques.
